Senior guard Taylor Rochestie's long 3-point shot with 2.3 seconds remaining lifted the Washington State University men's basketball team to a 51-49 overtime win over No. 14 Arizona State University Saturday in Pullman.

Rochestie finished the game with nine points and helped send the Cougars' five seniors out with a win in their regular-season home finale. Freshman guard Klay Thompson had 17 points to lead all WSU scorers, while senior center Aron Baynes added 11.

Second-half surge lifts WSU over Arizona, 69-53

Senior guard Taylor Rochestie scored 17 points to help lead the Washington State University men's basketball team to a 69-53 win over the University of Arizona Thursday night in Pullman.

The Cougars trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half, but opened the second half with a 21-6 run and never looked back. WSU wound up shooting 68 percent from the field in the second half while holding the Wildcats to 34.8 percent.

Klay Thompson had 16 points for the Cougars and Caleb Forrest added 15.

Senior guard Taylor Rochestie scored a career-high 33 points to lead the Washington State University men's basketball team to an 82-81 upset win over No. 20 UCLA Saturday in Los Angeles.

Rochestie hit five 3-pointers and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in lifting WSU to its second victory at UCLA in 53 attempts. Cougar freshman guard Klay Thompson scored all 15 of his points in the first half.

Cougar fall to Trojans, 61-51

Guard Dwight Lewis scored 17 points and forward Taj Gibson added 16 to help lead USC to a 61-51 men's basketball win over Washington State University Thursday night in Los Angeles.

The Cougars trailed by 14 points in the second half before going on a 17-4 run and closing within one point of the Trojans at 45-44. USC proceeded to stretch its lead back to six points and WSU was unable to pull any closer than four points down the stretch.

Senior guard Taylor Rochestie led the Cougars in scoring with 16 points.

OSU rallies to beat WSU, 54-52

Oregon State University overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat the Washington State University men's basketball team 54-52 on Saturday night in Pullman.

The Cougars led 42-31 early in the second half, but the Beavers proceeded to hold WSU scoreless and go on a 16-0 run over the next eight minutes.

Freshman guard Klay Thompson had 20 points to lead all Cougar scorers.

Cougars dominate Ducks, 67-38

Freshman guard Klay Thompson scored 23 points to help lead the Washington State University men's basketball team to a 67-38 win over the University of Oregon Thurday night in Pullman.

The Cougars shot 57 percent from the field while limiting the Ducks to 21 percent shooting. WSU was 9-of-13 as a team from 3-point range and Thompson was five-of-six from outside the arc.

WSU loses at Cal, 71-63

Guard Patrick Christopher scored 20 points to help lead California to a 71-63 men's basketball win over Washington State University Saturday night in Berkeley.

The Cougars and Golden Bears were tied at 60 with 2:53 remaining, but Cal proceeded to go an 11-3 run to close out the game.

Senior guard Taylor Rochestie scored 19 points for WSU and freshman guard Klay Thompson added 15.
